Uber

Project Description

We were excited to learn that Uber was coming to Southampton earlier in the year. As a business, we have used the service across London when we have headed in for meetings and in the States when we had visited. We love the ease and professionalism of the service so we jumped on board when it arrived in Southampton.

As a startup business ourselves, it’s great to learn more and follow the journey of an innovative and fast adapting company.

We joined Uber South Coast to bring along some Virtual reality to their Christmas partners meeting at the Hilton at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton, an end of year celebration for partner-drivers in the city.

We brought the HTC Vive and Samsung Gear VR to the venue and showed Uber’s partners how the tech worked and let them experience VR for the first time. Tilt Brush, created by Google was popular amongst the partners and their families.

We look forward to working with Uber again in the future.

“Virtual Umbrella were willing and enthusiastic from the word go when we approached them to exhibit VR at our partner appreciation event in December. On the day of the event, it couldn’t have gone smoother; the Partner-Drivers and their families were enthralled to try VR for the first time, whilst Sammy truly showcased her company’s services in a friendly and passionate fashion.”
